St. Vitus Cathedral Poster

I created this poster design for my independent study art history class that I took while studying abroad in Prague in July 2023. The poster uses design elements from the face of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague such as the clock and window tracery. I used the golden spiral and golden ratio to create this composition because Gothic architecture was based on similar ratios and proportions. I also used gradients inspired by Czech Cubist works of art. The typography is sized and aligned using the golden radio as well, and I chose to use large, thin type that plays off the geometric forms of the poster. I used Adobe Illustrator to complete the project.
